Service Description


The service specializes in issuing licenses for legal translation offices. The application process involves submitting a request via email to pols@tejarah.gov.om. The application is then reviewed by the relevant committee for approval. Once approved, the application is submitted electronically through the "Invest Easy" system for final accreditation based on the committee's approval.

  1. The additional requirements for obtaining a license for a legal translation office are as follows:
  2. -The academic qualification should be at least a Bachelor's degree.
  3. -A certificate demonstrating post-graduation experience of not less than 5 years in the language required for translation, and to and from that language. Graduates from specialized translation colleges and institutes are exempt from this requirement.
  4. -An official certificate proving full-time dedication from the public sector.
  5. -A certificate of non-conviction.

  8. -That the license student should not be issued in a felony or a penalty restricted to freedom in a crime that violates honor or honesty, unless he returns to him.
  9. - The presence of a suitable place to practice the legal translation activity, according to the conditions specified by the ministry
  10. - If the legal translation office is owned by a company, the previous conditions must be met at at least one of the partners.
  11. Required requirements for foreign companies:
  12. - The Omani partner should be licensed to practice the profession.
  13. - That the office had practiced the translation to and from the Arabic language for a period of no less than (10) ten years earlier without interruption and submitting a certificate certified by the competent authorities to prove this.
  14. - That participation between the two parties takes the form of one of the commercial companies stipulated in the law of commercial companies, which is consistent with its nature except for the joint -stock company or the joint company, provided that its establishment contract includes the type of company, its address, its main position, its capital, name, sexual, fortress, and the homeland of each partner, its purpose, duration and financial year And the names of the commissioners, as well as the mechanism of its management.
