Service Description


Providing the service of requesting the authentication and equivalence of academic certificates issued by non-Omani higher education institutions in order to issue a judgment that the certificate to be equalized is academically equivalent to one of the academic certificates included in the certification scale approved in the Sultanate of Oman. Where the authenticity of the certificate is confirmed first by attaching the donor institution’s response to the validity of the certificate after addressing it from the cultural attachés and offices outside the Sultanate of Oman or through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After that, it is ensured that the equivalency requirements are applied according to the list of recognition of non-Omani higher education institutions and the equivalence of the qualifications granted by them, in addition to the National Academic Qualifications Framework in the Sultanate of Oman, to the qualification, in order to decide whether or not to equivalence the academic qualification.

  1. A copy of the transcript and graduation certificate for the qualification to be equalized.
  2. A copy of previous educational certificates for the qualification to be equalized.
  3. A copy of the student's passport showing the entry and exit stamps for the country of study.
  4. Filling out a form of proof of residency (GCC graduates are excluded from this)
  5. Authorization letter for countries that require an authorization letter, such as Britain, Australia, and some countries that do not have attachés, such as the Philippines, Iran, and Korea
  1. Certification of the certificate electronically by cultural attachés through the system, and from the circle for countries that do not have attachments
