Service Description
Submitting a scholarship application abroad for specialized medical education programs
- The documents required to compete for scholarships for specialized medical education programs abroad:
- •CV
- Personal Statement
- • Certificate of medicine and surgery or its equivalent (for specialization and fellowship programs) and dental surgery certificate (for clinical masters programs in dentistry)
- • Lists of grades
- • Certificate of concession (for specialization and fellowship programs)
- • IELTS English Certificate or OET English test (optional),
- • Three letters of recommendation from consultant doctors whose issuance does not exceed 18 months,
- •a copy of the passport
- • The approval of the employer
- The documents required for specialization programs abroad only:
- • A copy of the result of the required exams for the state or training institution required at the time of application (example: MCCQE Parti)
- Documents required for fellowship programs only:
- • Certificate of completion of training
- • Specialization certificate
- Documents required for Clinical Master's programs (Dentistry Specialties only):
- • Certificate of membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MDF)
- • A certificate of experience of no less than two years
- General conditions for competition:
- 1. The applicant must be medically fit
- 2. Certificate of medicine and surgery or what is equivalent (for specialization and fellowship programs) or a bachelor’s degree in dental surgery (for the Clinical Master of Dentistry) from a recognized university or college, and that it be an equation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation if necessary.
- 3. If the language of the study is for a bachelor’s degree other than the English language, the IELTS certificate must be obtained for a total of 6.5 or more, provided that it is not less than 6.0 in each part.
- 4. The approval of the employer (except for the concession doctors who have not yet been appointed and the doctors looking for work)
- 5. All the required documents must be downloaded in the electronic application system.
- Conditions for applying for specialty programs abroad:
- 1. Submission for specialty programs is available to Omani doctors from the following categories:
- 2. Doctors enrolled in various health sectors in the Sultanate.
- 3. Doctors enrolled in the General Foundation Program
- 4. Excellence doctors.
- 5. Pass the admission exam for the Council (Omsb Selection Exam).
- 6. Obtaining two BLS and Acls certificates provided that the two certificates are the effect of the application at the time of application.
- 7. Passing all the exams required for the state who wants to compete for scholarships, at the time of application.
- Conditions for applying for fellowship programs abroad:
- 1. Presenting the fellowship programs is available to Omani doctors enrolled in various health sectors in the Sultanate, workers in the private sector and job seekers:
- 2. Those holding a "training completion certificate" and "specialization certificate" from the Omani Council for Medical Specializations or their equivalent from outside the Sultanate.
- 3. The scholarship doctors for specialization programs outside the Sultanate can apply for fellowship programs before completing the specialty program, to ensure the continuity of their scholarship periods.
- 4 .. The doctor should not have obtained a mission for a fellowship program previously.
- Conditions for applying for clinical masters programs abroad (for dental specialties only):
- 1. Submitting for Clinical Master's programs in dentistry is available for Omani dentists enrolled in various health sectors in the Sultanate, private sector workers and job seekers.
- 2. The applicant must have a membership certificate from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons MFDS.
