The Invest Easy portal (One Stop Shop) provides fast and easy e-services to help set up and manage companies in Oman. Using the e-services helps minimize paperwork and save costs and time.


Customs (Bayan)

Bayan system is an online one-stop-shop offered by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) - Directorate General of Customs that facilitates seamless, convenient and fast clearance of goods for trading communities.

Service Description

Issuing a license certificate to approve insurance activities

  1. •A bank certificate stating that the paid-up capital is not less than 10,000,000 ten million Omani riyals.
  2. •A copy of the commercial register after completing registration procedures as a public joint stock company
  3. •Forms of documents issued by the company for each insurance branch
  4. • Evidence of the existence of procedures taken to reinsure against risks for the activities to be carried out by the company
  5. •The CV of the company director and his experiences are certified and documented by the competent authorities
  6. •A copy of the appointment contract for all general managers, the CEO, and job heads
  7. •A copy of the actuary’s experience and qualifications if the company practices life insurance business
  8. •A copy of the prospectus
  9. •A certificate of depositing an amount of 75,000 Omani Riyals in one of the banks operating in the Sultanate for each insurance branch.
  10. •A detailed statement of the names and information of the company’s board members
  11. •Risk management system, internal control system, information technology systems, forecasts, financial sources, and technical principles used to calculate the insurance premium rate.
