Service Description


Anyone wishing to reinstate Omani citizenship, with Omani origins, can submit an application if they meet the provisions and conditions for reinstatement as stipulated in the Omani Nationality Law issued by Royal Decree No. (38/2014).

  1. A copy (if available) of the passport and personal identification card that they held before renouncing Omani citizenship.
  2. A copy of the passport and personal identification card they currently hold or possess.
  3. A copy of the valid residency card or a written declaration of their desire to settle in Oman.
  4. A copy of the marriage contract if married, along with passports of the spouse and children and their birth certificates, if they have children.
  5. A certificate confirming their renunciation of Omani citizenship issued by the relevant ministry.
  6. A certificate from the embassy of the country of their nationality or from the relevant authorities in that country indicating that their law allows them to renounce their nationality.
  7. A valid certificate of good conduct and a valid clearance certificate issued by the relevant authorities.
  8. A valid certificate of non-conviction from the country of their nationality.
  9. A valid health certificate proving their freedom from infectious diseases.
  10. A written declaration before the competent authority specifying the names of their children, along with the attachment of all their documents, updating this information as needed.
