Service Description

A building permit issued by the municipality according to the documents and maps approved by it to raise an existing building for which no previous building permit was issued.

  1. 1. A copy of the title deed and the survey drawing.
  2. 2. An electronic copy (pdf) including the architectural and construction plans (detailed building plans certified by the design consultant office) in addition to the construction accounts booklet.
  3. 3. Maps approved by the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance for governmental, industrial and tourist buildings, commercial and tourist residential and residential buildings, wedding halls and educational buildings in which the area of any floor exceeds (350) square meters or the ground floor is used for commercial purposes and the area of one shop exceeds (60). square metres.
  4. 4. A report from the consultant who designed the building to bear the required height.
  5. 5. A report from the supervising consultant that the building bears the required heightening.
  6. 6. Approvals from government agencies according to the nature of the project (Ministry of Housing, Public Authority for Electricity and Water, Royal Oman Police, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, Ministry of Heritage and Culture, Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs), any other approvals required by the municipality.
