Service Description


A building permit issued by the municipality according to the documents and maps approved by it to heighten an existing building for which a building permit has been issued.

  1. 1. Permissibility and previously approved maps.
  2. 2. A copy of the title deed and the survey drawing.
  3. 3. An electronic copy (pdf) including the architectural and construction plans (detailed building plans certified by the design consultant office) in addition to the construction accounts booklet.
  4. 4. Maps approved by the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance for governmental, industrial and tourist buildings, residential, commercial and touristic buildings, wedding halls and buildings of educational institutions, in accordance with the rules and regulations in force by the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance.
  5. 5. A report from the consultant who designed the building to bear the required height.
  6. 6. Additional approvals from some government agencies according to the nature of the project (Ministry of Housing, Public Authority for Electricity and Water, Royal Oman Police, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs, Ministry of Heritage and Culture, Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs), and any other approvals required by the municipality.
