Service Description


The service is provided for unknown children (to unknown parents/fathers) who need to obtain identity documents for the first time. They are provided with a form to apply for a birth certificate, passport, and identity card, request to change/add a surname or obtain replacements for lost documents.

  4. O born in the Sultanate of an unknown father and a well -known Omani mother.

  6. O orphans and those deprived of the care of parents or relatives to the fourth degree due to death, lost their relatives, separation between the spouses, or the presence of one of the spouses, or both of them in prison, or no one of their relatives has applied to identify

  8.  The child is granted the head of the family, after taking a pledge from the family.
  9.  On the name, children are granted in incubating families in the event of two male children the same name as well as for females (the first name of the child and the second is the name of the custodian and the difference is in the third and fourth name and they are affiliated with one tribe.
  10.  As for the name of the incubating mother (imaginary), which is recorded in the birth certificate, the first mother name is granted with changing the second and third name and adding her tribe.
  11.  In the event that the incubated child is an unknown father, the name of the biological mother (truth) is established in the birth certificate
  12.  In the event that the child is embraced by a woman only, the child is granted her tribe, and for the name, it is agreed upon so that the names that are chosen with the name of the mother or one of her relatives are not similar.
