Service Description
Request for a permit to remove lighting poles and electrical collectors that affect new projects and the main entrances and exits of buildings.
Service fee
Each lighting pole has 150 Omani (insurance). Each electric complex has 500 OMR (insurance).

www.mm.gov.om- - Letter addressed to the Director of the Lighting Department (in Arabic) containing the following:
- (Subject, type of work, distance of displacement, reasons for submitting a request for displacement, work location (state _ region), railway number (in the absence of a railway number, a landmark of the site such as (school - shop - station - etc.) is required, numbers of specialists in the company (delegate - engineers - project manager).
- - Individuals ID card.
- - A map showing the coordinates of the electrical poles or complexes, the railway number and the nearby landmarks (two copies).
- - Pictures of electrical poles or collectors to be removed.
- - If the transfer is to the home of a citizen or resident, the proof of title and site sketches must be brought.
- - Copy of the site sketch.
- - A permit to remove lighting poles and electrical complexes for contractors and members of society.
- - Its opposition to the main entrances and exits (for vehicles) for modern buildings and projects, according to the following:-
- 1- In the event that the columns or complexes are within the borders of the plot of land unless there is a creation of the land or an extension; It is removed by the municipality of Muscat.
- 2- In the event that the columns or complexes are outside the borders of the plot of land and contradict the main entrances and exits (for vehicles); The municipality of Muscat will only issue displacement permits and the concerned person must bring a specialized company to displace the lighting columns, and the contractor who will displace the amount of the guarantee before starting work, and then a permit from the lighting department is issued subject to some conditions and specifications to start the work, and a final permit must be taken from the administration Technical studies represented by the General Directorate of Projects and Affairs of the Municipality of Muscat.
- 3- In the event that the columns or complexes are outside the boundaries of the plot of land and do not contradict the entrances and external (for vehicles), the request for displacement will be rejected.
