Service Description


The service provided to contractors is to accredit the proposed materials for use in road projects, ensuring their compliance with the specifications of the Oman Highway Design Standards in the Sultanate.

  1. 1- A duly authenticated and stamped application form for material accreditation, signed by the project contractor and project consultant if applicable.
  2. 2- Reference numbers indicating the standards (European, American, or others) on which the material was manufactured.
  3. 3- Factory, supplier, and proposed material catALOgs.
  4. 4- Valid supplier registration certificate from the Tender Board.
  5. 5- List of projects in which the proposed material has been previously used.
  6. 6- Inclusion of samples of approved material accreditation forms used in previous projects.
  7. 7- Valid commercial register certificate for the supplier and accreditation from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.
  8. 8- ISO certificates for the factory and any other obtained certifications.
  9. 9- Factory accreditation certificates and tests conducted in accredited laboratories.
  10. 10- Specific warranty certificate, if required by the road specifications guide or as stipulated by the engineer.
  11. 11- Comparison of test results with the required specifications and contract documents.
  12. 12- Approved plans indicating the proposed material's designated usage areas within the project, if applicable.
  13. 13- Samples, photographs, and models of the material, if requested.
  14. 14- In case the subcontractor is accredited for the project, the main contractor submits their work plan and approval accreditation certificates.
