Public consultations allow the general public and stakeholders to share their opinions and participate in developing rules and regulations through open public consultations. Their inputs are considered and relied on in finalizing the regulations.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority publishes consultation topics that vary according to the targeted audience, whether telecom companies, beneficiaries, or the community. They can participate through the means specified by the authority on each consultation's page.

All public consultations - open and closed - are available on TRA website.

  • Promoting participation and transparency.
  • Involving beneficiaries, stakeholders, and the community in decision-making.
  • Protecting beneficiaries and stakeholders' rights and understanding their expectations and needs.
  • Creating a flexible and adaptive regulatory environment.
The TRA announces the consultations on its website and social media accounts. Each consultation has a separate page that includes all its details, objectives, a participation link, received responses, and related documents, to promote transparency and encourage stakeholders to take part in it.

The Public Consultations project won the Digital Government award for GCC countries in 2023 in the category of Best Digital Community Participation. The award aims to promote government excellence and innovation in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
