The Oman National Program for Private Sector & Foreign Trade Development (Nazdaher) is an accelerator and enabler established to achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2040. It operates under the supervision of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, within the pillar of “A Competitive Economy” and the priority of “Private Sector, Investment, and International Cooperation”. The program aims to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of the business environment, empower the private sector to lead a sustainably growing economy, and achieve effective integration with the global economy.
Nazdaher is built upon a set of key objectives, most notably: enabling an attractive and competitive business environment, strengthening public-private partnerships, diversifying exports and imports in terms of products and geographical coverage, and building an economic identity that integrates with global value chains. The program’s mission is to support the development of the Omani private sector through data-driven incentive policies, and to enhance foreign trade through effective strategic partnerships—contributing to the growth and prosperity of the national economy.
As part of ongoing efforts to achieve Nazdaher’s objectives, the Oman Promotional Brand Office was established in early 2025, along with a set of executive tools and a parallel capacity-building program. The aim is to position the Sultanate of Oman globally as an attractive destination for tourism, investment, and stability.
The program also promoted the concept of e-participation through a digital campaign titled #MyOmanMyStory, launched in December 2024. The campaign enabled the public to vote for Oman’s unified promotional brand via a user-friendly electronic survey supported by a QR code. It also welcomed feedback and suggestions via email and social media platforms, reflecting the program’s commitment to community engagement through effective digital tools.
