The total number of smart boards has reached 5,200 in addition to 500 interactive display devices instilled in schools around the Sultanate, aiming to cultivate the next generation to contribute to the economic and social development of society, through enhancing the teaching and learning processes to adapt to Oman's digital society.

A laser laboratory has been established in the Chemistry Department at Sultan Qaboos University, featuring highly sensitive solar cells. It aims to study ultra-fast chemical and physical reactions that occur in million billion billionths of a second to examine the chemical and physical properties of the new materials used in modified semiconductors in solar cells. The laboratory provides students with valuable opportunities to gain experience and practice using a wide range of scientific research tools.
