As most of the population in Oman tend increasingly to use mobile phones intensely every day, the need of meeting this tendency has become more obvious. Thus, and as a part of the eGovernment Transformation Plan that has been effective since 2013, the mGovernment approach is adopted as a channel of delivering the government services. It became necessary to support the mobility and usability of the user and get a quick effective access to the government services.

In order to activate the role of the mGovernment in Oman, most of the government entities have built responsive websites that work perfectly in any device (PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones). Furthermore, the Omanuna portal is available in a mobile version that fits to the other mobile phones other than the smart phones. If you are browsing the portal using a simpler device, please visit the Omanuna Mobile Portal .

Towards an actual use of the government services through mobile devices, and as per the eGovernment Transformation Plan, many government entities provide their services through mobile apps and SMS. You can get more details on these pages:

  • Mobile SMS services
